Task 1 You are an employee of Al Jenaibi International Automobiles llc.  As part of your induction into the organization, you have been asked by your line manager to compare and examine the role of a leader and the function of a manager as you see in your organisation. You are asked to observe the leadership team, and the management, to understand their impact on the organisations’ operational functions. You will discuss with a line manager their roles and how they respond to different situations in an organisational set up. You will present your findings to the management team in the form of a report. Your report should include the following: Definition and roles of both managers and leaders, along with the differences between management and leadership Explain and critically analyse the application of different styles of leadership in different organisational situations. Your findings should be supported by theories and concepts. Evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to leadership and management. Your manager expects you to appraise different approaches to situations and suggest some improvements to the existing way of work, where ever you can.
