Task 1 You are an employee of Al Jenaibi International Automobiles llc.  As part of your induction into the organization, you have been asked by your line manager to compare and examine the role of a leader and the function of a manager as you see in your organisation. You are asked to observe the leadership team, and the management, to understand their impact on the organisations’ operational functions. You will discuss with a line manager their roles and how they respond to different situations in an organisational set up. You will present your findings to the management team in the form of a report. Your report should include the following: Definition and roles of both managers and leaders, along with the differences between management and leadership Explain and critically analyse the application of different styles of leadership in different organisational situations. Your findings should be supported by theories and concepts. Evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to leadership and management. Your manager expects you to appraise different approaches to situations and suggest some improvements to the existing way of work, where ever you can.

Task – 2 As a management student, your line manager has asked you to suggest best approaches and practices on operations management that will address how the leadership and management team can improve overall operations within the company. You may need to learn about the Macro business factors that influence operational management and the decisions the management team makes. An introduction to the key operations of the organization, including the roles and responsibilities of managers in these functions. Explanation of the key operational approaches to operations management and their value. Analyse the internal and external factors that impact Operations and affect business environment and community. Critically evaluate how these factors affect decision- making by leaders and managers.   Suggest how operational efficiencies can be improved to successfully meet business objectives using appropriate management and leadership approaches.
